ABOUT THE TOUR
Step into the fairytale heart of Slovenia with a half-day guided experience in magical Bled – one of the most iconic and breathtaking destinations in the country.
We begin the day with a visit to the Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia, perched high on a cliff with stunning views over the turquoise lake below. Discover its rich medieval history, try a tasting of local delicacies, and indulge in a slice of the legendary Bled cream cake (kremšnita) – a true taste of tradition.
From the castle, we descend to the lake and board a traditional Pletna boat, hand-rowed by local oarsmen, taking us to the charming Bled Island. There, you’ll explore the island church, climb the bell tower, and ring the wishing bell – a ritual said to make your heart’s desires come true.
Throughout the tour, you’re accompanied by a professional local guide who brings the stories, legends, and secrets of Bled to life in a personal and engaging way.
And for those who want to make the day even more special, there’s the option to add a afternoon guided visit to the nearby Vintgar Gorge – a dramatic natural wonder with wooden walkways, crystal-clear water, and unforgettable scenery.
- Lunch is not included and there is no scheduled lunch break during the tour. However, we’re happy to drop you off at a restaurant or in Bled after the experience
- The Pletna boat ride is a shared experience with other participants visiting the island
- In the event of poor weather conditions, the agency reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the tour with a full refund or alternative date offered
- The Vintgar Gorge experience is joining a small group tour that runs daily at 16:00. Private tour is available upon request
Time:
- The tour starts between 8:00 and 9:00 (flexible to your preferences), lasts up to 5 hours, and ends approximately around 14:00
Pickup:
- Hotel pickups in Bled and its surroundings are included in the price
- Pickup in Ljubljana is available upon request for an additional fee of 50 €
- The price includes hotel pickup and return transfer at the end of the tour
- We remain flexible and can arrange pickup or drop-off at a different location
Booking policy:
- Half-day tours should be booked at least 24 hours in advance
- Full-day tours should be booked at least 3 days in advance
- Your booking is confirmed once the deposit payment has been received. A confirmation email will be sent to you shortly after the payment is completed
- Prior to the tour, your local guide will get in touch with you to confirm the pickup time and discuss any special requests or preferences you may have
- In the case of a customized itinerary (e.g. If certain sights are skipped), the corresponding entrance fees will be added or deducted from the total tour price
- Bookings for private groups up to 8 people are available upon request
